The Ottawa Valley and surrounding area is home to many crafters and artisans that work in various forms of media. The Rural Artisans 'handmade' Markets are organized to help provide a central stage for local handmade vendors to showcase and sell their work. Painted pictures on canvas, wood, or metal with acrylics or oils, watercolour paintings, painted glass, pencil drawings, blown glass, pottery, metal art, photographic art, and many other handmade or upcycled items will be showcased at the Rural Artisans 'handmade' Market.

NOTE: Only 1 table per Vendor will be allocated to ensure that we have a good variety of crafters and artisans. If you have an interest in 2 tables please indicate this on your registration form. When we get closer to the event date we'll have a better idea of the number of vendors registered and any requests for a second table will be filled, as available, on a 'first come-first served' basis as indicated on your registration form. Fees: The booth fee is $35.00, and is non-refundable.  There is NO commission payable on your sales.  Each vendor is responsible for their own sales and monies collected, including any tax that may be applicable on your sale.  We are notifying the public to bring cash, but if you accept credit cards please indicate this on the registration form.

Space Allocation & Display: The booth is approximately an 8’wide by 8’deep space (1 table and 1 chair will be provided unless otherwise indicated on your registration form). No artwork can be hung on the walls. You will need to bring fixtures for all hanging items.  If you have your own portable display for your merchandise it must fit into the allocated booth space. Don’t forget an extension cord if you require electricity!

Advertising & Publicity:  Brochures and flyers will be posted in as many places in the the area as we can get them out to.  There will be some newspaper advertisements as well.  We will also notify the newspapers about the event and try to get some news coverage.

Booth Set-up:  When possible, booth setup may be the night before the show, but most likely the morning of the event.

Refreshments:  The Horton Community Center will be operating the kitchen and provide a light lunch and beverages during the event.

Loss/Damage:  Neither the Rural Artisan market organizers, the volunteers, nor Horton Township or its recreation committee shall be responsible for any damaged, lost or stolen merchandise.  It is the responsibility of each vendor to watch their property and have their own insurance to cover their items.

Registration & Receipts: Complete the registration form and return it to Pat Forrest by either email, fax or mail. A receipt for your registration will be provided to you once payment has been received:
